Microsoft is releasing its third “platform preview” of Internet Explorer 9, which will give web developers and designers a preview of the new technologies coming in the next version of its browser. It will be available for download on the IE9 Test Drive site, but Internet Explorer Platform Preview requires that you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed on your computer..

  1. At a glance I can see that there are some exciting new features…..However, I have to wonder how far Microsoft wishes to articulate more ‘new-and-improved’ browsing. Is Apple still an underlying challenge to them in this area? I think not. As it has been said, “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”.
Unless the new Explorer gaurantees that my routine daily browsing will be noticeably more effecient and time saving, I’ll remain at the back of the line rush to bring it home.
